Frittata, or as we Persians call it Kuku, can always make a good breakfast, lunch, brunch or even dinner. Not to mention it is an easy option after a long day of work. Adding some cheese and cream to broccoli will boast a revolutionary flavour combination for the broccoli lovers. It's also a great "breakfast pizza for kids". It is easy, delicious and nutritious. Enjoy this hassle-free comfort food.


  • 400 g (4 cups) broccoli florets and stems cut in smaller pieces
  • 100 g (1 cup) any favourite grated cheese
  • 5 large eggs
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) olive oil
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • preheat oven to 150°C (300°F)
  • take an 8 x 8 inch (20 x 20 cm) non-sticking pan
  • pour hot water over the broccoli
  • boil it for 3-4 minutes over medium heat
  • rinse
  • set aside
  • leaving the olive oil, put all the ingredients in a large bowl
  • mix well
  • pour the olive oil in the pan
  • pour the mix in the pan
  • bake the frittata in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the top is firm
  • let cool
  • serve warm or at room temperature with your favourite bread
